So, I’ve got these 3 collections I’m trying to remove. What’s the first step? Thanks in advance!

Hey! It really depends on your credit situation and what you're aiming for financially. If you're planning to buy a home soon and want to boost your credit score, it’s a good idea to work things out with them. O the flip side, if you’re not making any big financial moves for the next few years, you can probably just leave things as they are. Just remember to keep making your current payments on time consistency is key! ✨

Let’s face it many find this hard to swallow, but the only real option you have is to ask them to remove the records from your credit report. If they refuse, you’re flat out of options.

Hey there! So, I was trying to do a pay to delete with Midland, and honestly, it was a bit of a confusing moment. The lady I spoke with seemed totally clueless about what I was asking for. You ever have one of those moments where you're like, Wait, are we even on the same page here? Yeah, that was pretty much how it went.

Here's how you can approach it! Don't reach out to them at all dispute it by stating it's under litigation. In the section where you can type your own response, make sure to include exactly this: I have not supplied proof under the doctrine of estoppel by silence. Englehardt v. Gravens (MO) 281 SW 715.719. I presume that no proof of the alleged debt, nor therefore any such debt, in fact exists. Let me know if that helps!

Ready to tackle those negatives on your credit report? Reach out to Lexington Law, and they’ll take care of everything for just a little over $100 a month. It’s a small price for a stress free, worry free you!

It’s pretty common to see the same collection companies pop up regularly they often handle a large volume of accounts.

So, I settled 2 Midland accounts, which most ppl do anyway. But this 3rd one went to legal and they were super stubborn bc they wouldn’t budge on a payment plan. They wanted a lump sum, which I couldn’t swing, so I had to set up a payment plan on the full balance. Ugh, you can’t win ‘em all, but most you can, tbh.

I had good luck with all of them. Found a Better Business Bureau complaint against each one. In the narrative, I demanded they validate the debt and then cease and desist all communication with me. They did. Removed it from my credit report. The BBB itself doesn’t assist, but it connects you with someone who can.

I believe I had some dealings with Jefferson Capital System, though I'm not entirely sure about the specifics. I think it might have been related to an unpaid Verizon bill, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm considering whether to approach them about a pay for delete arrangement, where I would only pay if they agree to remove it from my credit report. I'm not sure if that's the best approach, but I don't want to pay without some assurance.
