Is LVNV Funding Suing Me Over $2500 Debt Common?

I'm dealing with LVNV Funding, and they might be trying to take me to court over a $2500 debt. Is this something that happens a lot?

Here's what I'd do offer to pay them back $500, split it up over six months to start, and see how that goes. Then, ask if they'll agree to delete the tradeline. They'll likely go for it.

I would respond to the lawsuit. Look for FCRA or FDCPA VIOLATIONS to counter sue. If so, turn the tables to make them WAIVE the debt and DELETE it.

Yes. They put in a motion to garnish my wages. I ended up settling with them.

Yeah, they'll often sue if they can. If you're able to, it's worth trying to settle. Start with a lower offer and see how they respond.
