Hey! So, I'm 25, pulling in about $200k a year myself (that's before any bonuses or benefits).
Together with my partner, we're at around $270k (again, not counting my extra bits).
We're saving close to $1200 a week after all the bi lls and everything are sorted.
I've got about $65k in assets, and basically no debts—just my phone plan, which I could pay off anytime, and a credit card for emergencies (with a zero balance, and I can cancel it if needed).
My missus and I are in a pretty sweet spot with our board and share of the bills, and we're really keen to buy our own place early next year.
We're using her income to handle her loans (about $900 a month), and saving everything else.
Really, we're looking for someone we can chat with to nut out a solid plan and help set a realistic budget we can both stick to—my own budgeting is super frugal and it doesn't really work for the two of us.
That's the quick version! Yeah, I could just google brokers, but I'd love someone who's really clued up on the latest changes and incentives.
I'd much prefer a personal recommendation from people rather than just heading to some big franchise.
Born and raised Aussie, so I'm all for supporting local
Can anyone point me towards a decent broker in south-east Vic, or someone qualified to chat this through over the phone?
Posting anonymously as I've got family and friends in here who don't know about our situation and some other complications.
