What's one lesson you've learned about using credit cards?

Here's a smart tip: even if you pay your balance on the due date, you'll still accrue some residual interest if you keep using the card. So, I make it a habit to stop using my cards the week they're due and wait until after the payment has been processed. And here's the best part stick to rewards cards. It's like getting free money!

Only charge what you can pay off in full each month.

Credit cards are not free money.

If you can't afford to pay for the merchandise in full now, what makes you think you can pay for it in full later when the amount has grown due to interest.

My parents were the most financially responsible people I know. They had no debt. They charged only when they knew they could pay the balance in full when the bill arrived.

Settle the balance as you go.
I clear each transaction immediately it keeps things clear in my bank app but at least settle it every month. No interest, no exceptions.

Never carry a balance. If you're in debt, stop using credit cards immediately. If you can't pay, don't charge. After building a massive balance, working two full time jobs, a side gig, and selling jewelry just to pay them off, I will never go back to that.
