Hey.

I need a new vehicle.

I am looking at a new Volkswagen Crafter?van for 60-70k or a dual cab Hino truck for around 100k.

I am a flooring installer with one employee.

My vehicle is my money maker.

I am scared.

I have never owned a vehicle worth more than 30k.

What are everyone's thoughts?

Has anyone owned either vehicle?

Any input?

Hey mate, I’m an outdoor flooring installer ().
Honestly, I wouldn’t steer clear of a second hand Hino if I were you. I grabbed mine with 100,000km on it, and now it’s at 250,000 and hasn’t skipped a beat. It’s been crazy reliable, and I snagged it for under $40k.

Hey! Accountant here . So, my vehicle is my money maker but really, what makes you money is your know how and your hours. That's your real investment . Your vehicle? Just another tool to help you get out there and lay down those floors like a pro ️. Next time you're with your accountant, ask them (or look up) what's an asset, liability, etc. And if no one's explained budgets, cashflow, etc. to you yet, ask them a bout that too! Instead of how do I minimize tax, try asking how can I grow my income? Best of luck with your decisions and your business !
