How can I use my Australian home equity to buy a house overseas?

I'm looking to buy a house overseas using equity from my house in Australia. Can I keep the loan in Australia, or do I have to do it all in the country where I want to buy?
 
Yes, it is easy to do. Some lenders will not allow it. You also need to check if the country lets you buy the property. You must declare the rental income on your Australian tax return and talk to an accountant about what you can and cannot claim.
