Do you use identity theft protection?

Do any of you use an identity theft protection service?
I've never had my identity stolen but I'd like to be able to protect myself, just in case. I already have a lot of credit card debt and my credit score has suffered like, a lot! All that's missing is someone making everything worse!

So, what would you recommend? How does everyone here protect their identity when it comes to credit cards?
 
I've been meaning to test out LifeLock! I saw it was voted as this year's no. 1 theft protection service. It doesn't cost all that much either, I spend more money on shoes than I would on an yearly subscription :D
