Best financial adviser in South Brisbane for $250k income & family planning?

We need a financial adviser in the south Brisbane or Redlands area. Our household earns about $250k between the two of us. We have two kids, eight and ten years old. Right now we're renting, but we're looking ofr advice on how to make our money work harder for us. We’re wondering whether to invest in property or shares or something else—really, we just need some direction on where to even begin.

So, here's the simple breakdown in order of priority: your home loan first just pay the minimum. Then, max out your super with concessional contributions every year, and invest in ETFs without selling until you hit preservation age. With whatever's left after tax, you can choose between ETFs or property. Property has leverage and can be great long term, but it's not very liquid and stamp duty is just crazy. Personally, I lean toward ETFs, and you could even consider a margin loan if you're into that.

Step 1:
Build a solid foundation.

Structure your bank accounts. This creates a consistent surplus. Know your financial position. This gives you clarity about your potential.

Step 2:
Decide what matters to you.and your family.

Use your money for personal goals. Do not just seek long term wealth. For example, if a family home is important, consider the First Home Super Saver scheme.

Step 3:
Make and follow a plan.

Know your priorities. Create a plan that fits your situation and goals. Review it over time.

Take a broader view. Break things into Plan A and Plan B.

Plan A:
Set your budget on autopilot.
Clear bad debt. Use debt to invest.
Invest.
Minimise tax. Use government benefits.

Plan B:
Get personal risk insurance. This includes death, illness, and injury cover.
Build superannuation for retirement.
Do estate planning. This includes a will, super beneficiaries, and enduring power of attorney.

Review and adjust over time.

Reach out if you want to talk about your options.

Financial Adviser

I reached out because you truly match the client’s character they are deeply honest, and as a financial planner, I would feel comfortable and confident referring even my own family to them, knowing they’d be in trustworthy hands.
