Will my wife be affected if I don’t pay my charged-off Capital One card?

So I added my wife as an authorized user on a Capital One credit card. We had some personal struggles and the account ended up getting charged off. I haven't done anything about settling it yet. Is she stuck in this with me until I pay it off?

Nope, if she's an authorized user, she can just say that's not mine and it'll get taken off her credit report.

Have her removed as an authorized user from that card, then ask her to call and request written confirmation that she is no longer an authorized user.
Please request that they stop reporting the account under her name to the credit bureaus.
Essentially, if possible, obtain a letter or email confirming your removal and use that as proof to dispute with all three bureaus, allowing them 30 days to remove it.
