Why won't credit bureaus investigate my disputes?

It’s like none of these dispute letters even make a difference anymore. I’ve tried everything, but the credit bureaus won’t even look into my disputes. All I get are letters telling me everything’s been verified. A year of fighting, and still nothing changes. I just feel so defeated and stuck.

I'm having the same issues. I've sent letters a few times with tips I found here. I filed a complaint with the CFPB, but nothing's happened. I've been dealing with this for over a year, trying to get just two things removed.

Targeting the original creditor o r collection agency is often the simpler approach. If the credit bureaus aren’t responding, consider addressing the issue from the other side. Try to get the original creditor or collection agency to shift the blame back to the credit bureau. Use the FDCPA or FCRA to hold each agency accountable.

The original creditor or collection agency won’t readily accept responsibility. However, if you can get them to acknowledge in writing that the credit bureau failed to investigate properly, you gain leverage. This can be used to push for deletion or correction of the entry.

Sometimes, thinking creatively is necessary.

Things have been moving really slowly, and I’ve noticed a few issues. One problem is that something was marked as unpaid for 90 days, which isn’t true. I sent proof that it was paid on time, but nothing’s been fixed yet. Another problem is with a fraud case I was supposed to get some forms to fill out, but I still haven’t received them. It’s been weeks, and I still haven’t gotten the forms. It’s really frustrating because none of this is accurate, and, even though I’ve provided proof, it feels like they’re taking their time without any urgency.

Honestly, it's true. If you've got good credit, they can't just sell your info to all those subprime cards and lenders. It's such a scam. And then there's all that debt re aging and those double listings for collections and charge offs. It almost feels illegal, right? But here's the thing nobody really keeps an eye on the credit bureaus. They claim to be regulated, but honestly, they don't seem to care much. And yeah, those credit repair people who claim to have connections? It's tempting to believe them, but it's all just a lie.
