Recommendations from other business owners are a good starting point. Otherwise, talk to a few and see how the first conversation goes. If you don’t walk away thinking “I want to hear more of what that person has to say,” they’re probably not the right fit.
Generally, they’ll include services beyond tax compliance as “advisory,” if they offer it.
