PROPERTY INVESTMENT ADVICE

I want to start investing in property in the coming months and seek advice: what order should I build a team in? As in financial advisor, accountant, mortgage broker, buyers agent, ect.

For context: joint income of $250k, no kids or toys, $200k owing on a $1mil property, no other debt, have six months of expenses in an offset.

I want property as a primary investment but will diversify with stocks and shares, max out super, etc., as I go.

Thanks in advice

Hey legend , ur already ahead of most by knowin u need a solid team.

I’d start with an accountant & mortgage broker first to see what u can do with ur budget .

A buyers agent’s worth it if u’re time poor & don’t know the data on what u’re lookin at .

If u want, send me a DM – happy to rec some good brokers & an accountant

I'd start with a good accountant. Then a mortgage broker review options from there, and what you might find is that you will get different recommendations from different professionals, so you may ultimately have to decide the best route yourself. The good news is that your household income and equity position are strong, so you will have options either way.

If you have any specific questions re borrowing side, feel free to reach out.

Kick off with a financial planner. They're the only ones qualified to give financial advice. They'll team up with accountants, mortgage brokers, and buyer's agents to put together the best strategy for you.
