Where can I refinance my car with GAP insurance in Pennsylvania?

I’m exploring options—I desperately need to refinance my car, yet nowhere will offer GAP insurance. Is there a company that will refinance with GAP insurance offered? Or is there a company that offers GAPP insurance separately? I’m in Pennsylvania.

No—my car insurance does NOT offer GAP; I already inquired. I desperately need GAP because even with refinancing I’m still upside down on the vehicle and want protection for an emergency.

I’ve refinanced my cars with a few different credit unions over the years, and all of them gave me the option to add GAP during the refinancing process! You’ll just need to call and ask whatever refinancing bank or credit union you’ll be using.

Try calling around to other car insurance companies to see if they’ll just do the gap insurance part. Google says:

Travelers: often cited as one of the most affordable options in Pennsylvania for gap coverage.
Nationwide: covers vehicles six years old or newer.
Erie Insurance: offers GAP insurance through its Auto Security endorsement, which also throws in extra perks for new car owners.
Progressive: has “loan/lease payoff” coverage that covers up to 25% of the vehicle’s actual cash value.
Allstate: offers a dedicated Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) program to cover the difference between a settlement and a lona balance.
Liberty Mutual: offers GAP coverage, usually requiring the policyholder to be the vehicle’s first owner.
Auto Owners Insurance: recognized as a top insurer in PA for 2025 that includes GAP insurance among its many coverage options.
American National: offers GAP insurance as one of its primary add on options in the state.
