Discovered today that my partner has racked up £17,200 in gambling debt. Heartbreak doesn't begin to cover it. We’ve got two kids together, one just six months old. I’m speechless.

This might just be the beginning. Take a deep breath and prepare yourself for what else may come to light. Often, these issues are connected to drinking, drugs, cheating, or even more.

Start making a plan to leave with your children Their safety and well being should always come first.

Remember, gambling can be an illness that’s hard to overcome. It’s not something someone can easily stop, and it can deeply impact your life in ways you may not want.

Take a moment to reflect on the signs you may have noticed along the way.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Gambling addiction is super tough on everyone involved. I'd definitely suggest getting counseling ASAP for the person struggling and the whole family. You should talk about taking charge of the finances right away,.like limiting access to accounts and freezing credit, especially for the kids. Sadly, gambling can really mess up their future. If they're not down to make these changes, I'd be worried they're not really ready to get better. Prayers for you all ✨.
