I'm really sorry to hear you're dealing with this. Have you thought about reaching out to a credit counseling agency? They might be able to help you work out a plan. It sounds like you've been through a lot, especially with!taking care of your kids and dealing with the rent increase. Take it one step at a time—there are options out there to help you get back on your feet.

Hey there! So, if you're dealing with a bank owned credit card and they decide to sue, here's the lowdown. If they win, they might go after your paycheck or put a hold on your bank account until things are settled.

Here's the deal: keep your bank account info under wraps. Stick to money orders for payments, and don't forget to keep those receipts safe. It's like keeping a backup plan, just in case!

I understand how overwhelming it can feel when dealing with debt, especially when it’s been passed on to a collection agency. It’s important to know that once a debt is sold, you actually owe the collection agency, not the original creditor. In Washington, the statute o limitations for collections is six years from the last payment made. After seven years, it typically falls off your credit report. However, until then, collection agencies will keep pursuing you because they’ve purchased the debt from the original creditor.

I hope you're doing well! I wanted to share a bit about my situation. My last payment was two years ago, and I'm in Florida where the statute of limitations is six years. I'm working with an attorney's office, but I'm not sure if they're a debt collector who bought the amount or if they were hired by Discover to help collect the money. I don't have any savings set aside right now. I'm 58 years lod with three kids 19, 17, and 13. I hope this helps, and I appreciate your understanding!
