What are your best budget-friendly meal ideas?

No one's said it yet, but honestly, organ meat is the shit, bud.

Chicken hearts wrapped in bacon.
Lambs fry.
Crumbed and lightly fried brains.
Bulk out meaty dishes like stroganoff with kidney and heart.
Max nutrients, fuck all cost, and incredibly filling.

I also use rolled oats in saucy mince dishes to bulk them up and thicken the sauce. They take on the flavour of the sauce.

If you’re trying to get some super cheap meals together, here’s something that honestly feels like a small treasure a pack of 90c pasta from Cole’s, a few tins of tuna, 2 jars of tinned tomatoes, 2 tins of mixed beans; from that, you can easily make 6–8 meals for $7.
