Let me tell you don’t even think aabout ignoring your credit card accounts, whether they’re open or closed. Trust me, they’ll come after you. If you owe enough, they might even take you to court and threaten to garnish your wages. Ignoring the problem? Nope, that’ll just make it worse.
Right now, I’m juggling 5 closed accounts with a set monthly payment, and 4 open ones I’m trying to pay off. My strategy? I double or triple the payment on my smallest balance and stick to the minimum on the others. Sometimes I throw in a little extra. I’ve been doing this for over a year now, and if I keep it up, I should be debt free in about 2 and a half years. Hope this helps.
