Opening a business Pty Ltd
Hey everyone,

I am planning to set up a Pty Ltd company in Australia and a brand too. I want advice from people who have already gone through the process.

Did you set it up yourself,,or did you use an accountant or lawyer?

I am trying to figure out what is actually worth it. I want to know about cost versus convenience and avoiding mistakes. Any recommendations or things to watch out for would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Doing it yourself? Sure, you save a few bucks , but you might skip the expert advice and run into mistakes. Paying a qualified pro? You spend a little extra, but you get everything right from the start and save loads of time too! ⏰✨

Accountant here. Honestly, there are plenty of free resources out there to set up a company properly yourself – it’s not rocket science if you do your research. Just keep in mind you’ll eventually need an accountant for the company tax return and financial statements, etc.

Where good accountants really earn their money, though, is on advice about structures – not just for your business, but everything around it.

Anyway, good luck with the business!
