Does it ever end? I just want to scream.
My family and I are drowning. The last few months have been especially hard, with one unexpected expense after another. We received a very generous Xmas gift my grandmother. But just when we thought we would finally be able to get out from under our tax debt, we got a letter from the district court for the $4000 on my husband's charged-off credit card account.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Are there options? Can we call the credit card company and try to come up with some sort of plan, or is it too late?
We don't have the money for both the credit card and the tax debt. Let alone court costs or a lawyer. I'm afraid we'll have to choose between the 2, and either way we are still screwed. I just don't know what to do anymore.
