Has Jefferson Capitol Systems duplicated collections on your TransUnion report too?

I know I'm not the only one with this problem, but how many people have been affected by Transunion reporting the sa me collections twice or three times, especially from Jefferson Capitol Systems? It lowered my credit score almost 100 points. I had only two collections left that I was paying on, but now one collection is listed twice and another is listed three times, plus an old account I already took care of (I have proof). Today I mailed letters to all credit bureaus and disputed on Credit Karma. Just when I try to get ahead, I get knocked back. I really needed a loan, and the bank pointed out the duplicate collections and denied me. Is there anything else I can do? I recommend checking your credit if you have any Jefferson Capitol collections. It's ridiculous. Will my credit go back to what it was? I've worked so hard.

So, Spring Oaks Capital is double reporting on me, along with True Accord for an account I don't know anything about. I just sent out debt validation letters and I'm going to be disputing it.

Oh, yeah, that's totally a violation definitely steer clear of disputing on Credit Karma. If your dispute doesn't sort things out, file a complaint instead.

Hey, I totally get the frustration, but multiple Jefferson Capital tradelines aren’t automatically “duplicates.” Debt gets sold and reassigned all the time… that’s legally fine.

The real issue and where you’ve got some leverage is when the same debt pops up more than once at the same time, or when an account you’ve already handled gets inaccurately re reported. That’s an FCRA accuracy issue, not something Credit Karma can fix.

If it were me, I’d hit Jefferson Capital with the proof of ownership move and mention why multiple tradelines exist at the same time. If they can’t verify, those extra reports can be removed, and then your score can bounce back once it’s corrected.
