Hello everyone.

I'm just looking for some advice. I'm hoping to buy a house in the next few years and was wondering about the best approach.

Could you share your tips and suggestions for purchasing a house and managing the mortgage?

How much should I put down? Should I pay it down faster or at a slower pace? Is it better to put money into a specific type of account? Should I consider refinancing after a certain period? Are there certain lenders or banks you'd recommend?

Thank you.

Find a broker who knows the ropes with government grants – don't be intimidated! We jumped on a government guarantee scheme, even though lots of people warned us against it. They said we couldn't borrow extra for renovations or would lose money if we so ld.

But guess what? In just 8 months, our place went up so much in value that the bank dropped the government guarantee!

Stick to what you can actually afford – no need for the dream forever home right away.

Seriously, chatting with a broker was a game changer for us. We totally thought buying was impossible, but he made it all work!
