Did my negative credit account disappear after 7 years?

Is that being reported correctly? It used to be a negative mark on my credit report. Now, after seven years, it looks like they've updated all the information so it doesn't show up at all!

Even if it's not, you should be fine with this It's reporting as a good standing closed account, which looks positive on your profile But I see this is Credit Karma you should pull your actual reports, not through them, to make sure it's matching up 'cause it doesn't always be accurate

Hey, just a heads up you really should stop using Credit Karma.

This is honestly one of the biggest slip ups folks tend to make.

See, the credit bureaus don’t just drop negative accounts because time went by. They take them off based on the date you first fell behind that’s what starts the 7 year countdown (well, technically 7 years plus an extra 180 days).

Credit Karma doesn’t show you that fine print. To find out the actual removal date, you’ll need to grab your full credit report straight from the bureaus or through annualcreditreport.com.

Oh, and peek at the tradeline itself if the info is missing or looks incomplete now, that might give you a cahnce to dispute it for accuracy under the FCRA.

Basically, don’t count on free apps for the real details. Go straight to the source.
