I've been told that getting a mortgage without a credit score is close to impossible.
I know lenders 'like' applicants with good credit scores, so if you don't actually have a good credit score in your name, I understand that you probably won't qualify for any kind of loan.
However, isn't getting into debt, to build your score just to get into an even bigger debt later on, a bit odd? Isn't there any other way? Is it at all possible to qualify for a mortgage even without a credit score?
