I have a few questions, regarding loans and credit scores and other related aspects.
So, it's been almost 8 years since I moved to the states. However, I've never applied for a loan before, nor have I ever used a credit card (I wanted to stay away from being in debt, big mistake, as it turns out!).
So, my question is: how do I build credit score in my name?
I'd like to apply for a loan (looking to buy a house in the near future), but I'm afraid if I apply for one, lenders will reject my application, seeing how I have no credit score build up! How do I start from scratch and how long will it take before I'd be able to buy my own home?

Do you rent or do you live with someone who does? Because this is one of the easiest ways to start building credit score in your name, you just need to make sure you have your name on the rental agreement. This way, lenders will see you are able to pay your rent each month, if the payments show up on your credit history. Not all property owners will report the payments, but you could kindly ask them to.
