Should I trust a legal aid group that won’t send info by email?

Tell me your thoughts. I'm trying to find legal help for problems with!my mobile home park manager. I contacted an elder law group. They asked for $19.95 per month to join. I asked them to email me all the details about joining. They said they can only give that information over the phone and cannot send anything in writing. I said no to their service. What do you think?

If it feels like a scam, it likely is. Seek a local lawyer with a physical office you can visit. Avoid attorneys who operate only online or by phone.

Reach out to your local city or county health and human services or elder protection offices. They often keep lists of attorneys offering pro bono help, or they can at least steer you toward the right path.
