My wife has a 2007 Ford edge with $7,500 left on the loan. My sister in law has a 2006 gmc Sierra crew cab with $12,000 on her loan.

They want each other's vehicles. We are concerned about one party being able to get a decent second car loan. Both loans are through the same bank. One party has to get a second loan to have money to purchase the others vehicle... And then the other party would be free of there loan and get another loan to buy the others vehicle.

Is there any easier more logical way to do this?

Talk to the bank officials, they will be able to guide you in a better way.
